Billing Coordinator (Washington DC)

Epstein Becker Green is a leading law firm that, since 1973, has provided counsel in litigation, regulatory, and other services. We seek an experienced Billing Coordinator to support attorneys in the Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client terms, discount arrangements, and billing preferences while managing the billing process for assigned attorneys.
Produce firm‑standard billing proformas for attorney review each month.
Edit and finalize invoices per client and attorney instructions; maintain billing instructions in Elite 3E.
Submit electronic invoices via e‑billing guidelines, monitor acceptance, appeal rejections, and add timekeepers for rate approvals.
Respond to information requests from attorneys, clients, and staff regarding billings.
Follow up with attorneys to ensure timely billing processing.
Research billing‑related inquiries and prepare monthly statements for outstanding invoices.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5+ years in a similar billing role; law‑firm or professional‑services experience preferred.
Skills
Proficient in 3E Financial System, e‑Billing Hub and Paperless Proforma.
Experience with e‑billing vendors such as Legal Exchange, Serengeti, Counsel Link, Chubb, Tymetrix, and LEDES file knowledge.
Strong analytical, organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize multiple initiatives, and demonstrate self‑motivation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 – $96,000. Base salary plus a discretionary bonus are offered in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
