WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Structural Engineer to work out of our Boston, MA or North Providence, RI office.

Your Impact
Perform structural design of new buildings and restoration of existing buildings throughout the United States
Analyze and design superstructures and foundations in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry
Utilize latest technology and digital tools for design
Complete training on assigned tasks
Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline
0 to 1 year of relevant post‑education experience
Excellent research skills with analytical mindset
Familiarity with design/build concepts
Familiarity with structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, and compliance practices
Competent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient self‑leadership with attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization
Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
Experience with Building Information Modeling software such as Autodesk Revit
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Ability to work schedules conducive to project requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
Occasional travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
Recent or upcoming May 2026 graduates in accredited Civil/Architectural/Structural Engineering, or related undergraduate or graduate program
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
0–3 years of internship experience in Civil/Architectural/Structural Engineering
Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software

Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $58,200–$96,030. WSP reserves the right to pay more or less based on experience and market.
