Job Overview:
The FMO (Field Maintenance Operations) Supervisor is responsible for safe and efficient car inspection and repair at an FMO location. This individual will be the management/supervisor over FMO specialists/carman. The work schedule for this position is the afternoon-shift (5PM-5AM), 3 days on/4 days off.
Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Assure the safe performance of duties by their employees in accordance with Safety Policies.
Instruct and train employees in the proper inspection and repair of railcars in compliance with current Company and Industry standards.
Foster positive employee relations, and ensure conformance to Human Resource Policy and Procedures.
Maintain efficient and productive operation in accordance with Company goals.
Control expenses related to the location’s operations and distribution of labor.
Serve as local liaison to host railroad, AAR and FRA.
Qualifications
2-3+ years of relevant experience
Experience working in the railroad/railcar industry
Mechanical knowledge specifically related to railcars
Comfortable working on a 24-hour site; will include working long shifts, working holidays, etc.
