Position Overview

The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for leading all electrical construction activities in the field, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on AMS job sites. This role oversees subcontractors and internal crews, enforces code compliance, and serves as the technical authority for electrical scope execution. The Electrical Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Superintendents to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all electrical field work, including DC, AC, and communication systems, from mobilization through commissioning.

Supervise electrical subcontractors and internal crews to ensure installation meets drawings, specifications, and NEC requirements.

Conduct daily safety and quality inspections, ensuring all work is performed per AMS standards and OSHA guidelines.

Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve field design conflicts and maintain construction schedules.

Review and verify electrical drawings, one‑lines, as‑builts, and QA/QC documentation.

Maintain material inventory, track deliveries, and ensure equipment is installed correctly and on schedule.

Train and mentor field staff to ensure technical proficiency and adherence to AMS’s safety culture.

Lead and participate in commissioning, testing, and closeout activities.

Qualifications

5+ years of electrical construction experience, preferably within solar, battery storage, or industrial power systems.

Licensed Master or Journeyman Electrician strongly preferred.

Proven track record managing electrical scope on multi‑megawatt renewable energy projects.

Deep understanding of NEC, grounding/bonding, and low- and medium‑voltage systems.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.

OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certification preferred.

Willingness to travel to job sites across the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic regions.
