Key Responsibilities
Design medium and low voltage power distribution, including generator design, motor controls, VFDs, lighting, and equipment layout for water and wastewater facilities.
Prepare project specifications and edit corporate electrical master specifications.
Serve as lead electrical engineer on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget compliance.
Perform site visits from conceptual design through construction.
Conduct electrical design work in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Perform power system studies in SKM and/or ETAP.
Manage construction administration tasks: review shop drawings, respond to RFI, change orders, and related tasks.
Conduct factory witness testing and participate in field testing and startup of electrical systems.
Represent the electrical discipline in client project meetings and coordinate with other disciplines.
Mentor less experienced electrical staff.
Assist in business development, including proposal preparation and project scope/fee documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
5–14 years of heavy industrial electrical engineering experience.
Registered professional engineer in at least one U.S. state; ability to obtain licensing in additional states.
Experience with SKM or ETAP power system software.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Strong communication skills for client, contractor, and inter‑disciplinary interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Water/Wastewater industry.
Experience with Bluebeam software and Bluebeam Studio.
Experience with instrumentation and control systems (PLCs, operator interfaces, and instruments).
