Product Owner – Telecom Domain Expert

Job Overview We are looking for a Product Owner with deep telecom domain expertise to lead the development and lifecycle management of telecom‑centric products and services. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with telecom technologies, standards, and systems (e.g., OSS/BSS, 4G/5G networks, VoIP, etc.) and will play a key role in bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for telecom services, including ideation, requirements gathering, development, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog with a clear focus on telecom‑specific functionality and business value.
Define detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria with a strong understanding of telecom systems, protocols, and customer use cases.
Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and network teams to ensure feasible, scalable, and compliant telecom product development.
Interface with business stakeholders, network operations, and customer teams to gather domain-specific requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, retrospectives, and stand‑ups.
Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking specific to the telecom industry (e.g., B2B connectivity, mobile services, enterprise communications).
Ensure products comply with industry regulations and standards (e.g., 3GPP, ITU, GSMA, local telecom regulations).
Track product KPIs, gather customer feedback, and propose telecom‑specific feature enhancements.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Product Owner or Product Manager roles within the telecommunications industry.
Strong working knowledge of telecom architecture, systems, and services such as OSS/BSS platforms, 4G/5G networks and protocols, VoIP, SIP, IMS, fiber or broadband services, and MVNO/MNO platforms.
Proven experience delivering telecom software products in Agile or SAFe environments.
Ability to clearly articulate telecom technical requirements to cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar product management platforms.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in network automation, SDN/NFV, or cloud‑native telecom solutions.
Prior involvement in launching telecom self‑service portals, provisioning systems, or customer experience platforms.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or similar Agile certifications.
