Career Opportunity This program will be slightly shorter than our normal program but still packed with learning and leadership opportunities. The Technology Leadership Development Program (TLDP) is a 1.5‑year leadership rotational program comprised of 12‑month and 6‑month assignments. The TLDP is designed to develop future IT Solutions leaders. As an IT Technology Leadership Analyst, you will be a part of a full‑time intensive program with an opportunity to start your career in one of the following tracks: Project Management, Business Process & Relationship Management, Data & Analytics, Information Security, Software Engineering, and Digital Acceleration. Program benefits include, but are not limited to, exposure to IT Solutions functions, engagement with senior leadership, technical and professional development, mentorship, and other events (team building, leadership, and volunteering). After successful program completion, we will support you in looking for your permanent functional role based on performance, career interest, and business needs.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Business Analysis / Analytics, Human‑Computer Interaction

Minimum 3.25 GPA Preferred

Relevant experience including internships, co‑op assignments and leadership roles a plus

Strong interest in technology, innovation and working in a fast‑paced, global organization

Knowledge of IT systems, specifications, networks, and computer systems

Strong analytic/problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, passion for improvement, and desire to work in a team/collaborative environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Strong leadership, prioritization, and organizational skills

Ability to quickly adapt to change, multi‑task and prioritize multiple projects

Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Project Planning And Management Skills Preferred

Willingness to work in Atlanta, GA, and work in or travel to manufacturing / production environments

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock across the IT Solutions organization The Technology Leadership Development Program consists of several tracks but not limited to: Project Management, Business Process & Relationship Management, Data & Analytics, Information Security, Software Engineering, and Digital Acceleration. Depending on your track, responsibilities may include:

Project Management

– Project Planning & Execution, Risk & Issue Management, Resource & Budget Management, Change Control, Stakeholder Management, Meeting Facilitation, Team Collaboration, Presentation Skills, exposure to project management platforms (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow), use of data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel dashboards), understanding IT delivery frameworks (Agile, Scrum, ITIL basics), familiarity with governance tools.

Program, Business Process & Relationship Management

– Assist with business relationship management, partner with stakeholders, work with master data, migrate reports to modern solutions, support project management activities, lead projects as assigned.

Data & Analytics

– Formulate and apply mathematical modeling, analyze large data sets with Python, R, IBM SPSS Modeler, build algorithms, deploy models in production, identify data needs, develop executive dashboards, support self‑serve analytics strategy projects.

Information Security

– Support awareness and training, risk management activities, develop security metrics, support SOX compliance, assist third‑party security assessments, support enterprise security architecture, assist security operations, participate in identity and access management.

Software Engineering

– Learn agile development ceremonies, engage with Product Owners, UI/UX, DevOps, QA teams, write technical specifications, mentor colleagues, refine technical knowledge, design system integration, test, and oversee application development.

Digital Acceleration

– Understand business problems, develop roadmaps, test and deliver solutions, assist in prototyping and change management, deliver technical solutions for business leaders.
