Data Engineer - Compliance Analytics and Automation
Join us as a Data Engineer in the Gore Medical Corporate Compliance team. In this role you will identify opportunities to apply advanced tools—including AI‑powered platforms, automation technologies, and analytics dashboards—to streamline and scale compliance oversight, risk detection, monitoring and auditing activities. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, build and maintain technology solutions that improve efficiency, automation and oversight across the compliance function.
Pay and Benefits
$117,000 - $166,000 per year
Roles above $150,000 are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities
Design and implement AI‑driven solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Azure AI, Power Platform) to automate workflows, summarize data, generate reports, and assist in policy or training development. Stay current on emerging AI tools and recommend pilot projects or use cases.
Configure and maintain automated processes (e.g., using Power Automate, SharePoint, or other tools) for tasks such as issue triage, document workflows or training completion tracking.
Build and manage compliance dashboards in Power BI or equivalent tools to monitor risk trends, metrics and operational indicators.
Support integration between compliance systems and data sources to improve monitoring, reporting and audit readiness.
Further develop and automate compliance monitoring tools and systems.
Leverage AI‑enhanced analytics to identify patterns or red flags in data from CRM, ERP, LMS, or third‑party platforms.
Support intake and triage of compliance issues, using AI tools to assist with prioritization, classification or summarization.
Partner with stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, IT and other business functions to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with governance, privacy and security standards.
Perform data extraction, transformation and basic analysis to support audits, investigations or leadership reviews.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements for reliability, security and scalability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role, with exposure to compliance, risk or audit functions.
Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Hands‑on experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar generative AI platforms to enhance productivity, automate reporting or support compliance workflows.
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, R, Alteryx) to streamline data workflows and compliance reporting.
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) for building low‑code/no‑code solutions that support compliance and operational efficiency.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA) and how they influence data governance and automation.
Strong understanding of data quality, lineage and controls in regulated environments.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for compliance stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., Certified Data Analyst, Certified in Healthcare Compliance).
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance tools (e.g., Azure Purview, AWS Macie, Google DLP) and an understanding of responsible AI use and basic concepts of explainability, transparency or data privacy.
Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources relevant to compliance (e.g., logs, emails, transactional data).
