This position will be onsite in one of the following locations: Crestview, FL; Lexington Park, MD; Colorado Springs, CO; or Lompoc, CA.

Position Overview InDyne is seeking a skilled, detail‑oriented, and motivated Cybersecurity Specialist with experience in supporting enterprise security operations and security compliance programs. The position will preferably be onsite at our Crestview, Florida office. The role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and plays a key role in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and systems to protect InDyne’s critical infrastructure and information assets. The specialist will provide technical hands‑on support vital to maintaining compliance with NIST SP 800‑171 and CMMC Level 2 and ensuring that daily security operations are executed effectively and efficiently. Experience and familiarity with Azure Cloud services, cybersecurity tools and technologies—including Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability scanners, and patch management systems—are required.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain cybersecurity tools and technologies.

Support data collection and technical evidence gathering for compliance audits and assessments.

Ensure that system configurations, patches, and updates align with compliance requirements and organizational policies.

Support access control procedures by creating, modifying, and revoking user accounts in accordance with least privilege and need‑to‑know principles.

Assist users in applying secure computing practices and troubleshooting cybersecurity‑related issues.

Perform daily reviews of system, network, and security logs for signs of unauthorized activity.

Monitor and report on status of antivirus, EDR, and system patches.

Conduct regular vulnerability scans using approved tools and work with system administrators to track and validate remediation.

Verify installation of system patches, updates and support vulnerability mitigation activities.

Maintain accurate records of security configurations, control implementations, and system inventory relevant to compliance requirements.

Review and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist in updating security‑related documentation.

Support internal security awareness training efforts and phishing simulation programs.

Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts, IT personnel, and other stakeholders on ongoing security projects.

Perform regular system maintenance as required, including patches and updates.

Collaborate with remote IT team to support IT systems upgrades and optimization.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards regarding cybersecurity and data protection.

Hold a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent 2 to 4 years of work experience).

Possess knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, networking and security including familiarity with operating systems (Windows 11) and enterprise cloud software applications.

Be able to obtain one of the following industry certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft Security Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA (CyberOps or Security).

Preferred Skills

Working knowledge of security technologies EDR, antivirus, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls; operating systems Windows, Linux; basic networking concepts TCP/IP, ports and protocols, VLANs, VPN; familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Office 365) and cloud security tools is a plus.

Comfortable with scripting or command‑line tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is desirable.

Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.

Ability to work independently as well as part of an extended team in a fast‑paced environment.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
