Northeast Territory Business Development Manager STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates products, engineering support, repair, and maintenance services to provide value‑added solutions to owners, engineers, and contractors. We provide specialty contracting services through our contracting companies and state‑of‑the‑art proprietary products and engineering support services through our technologies company. With over 2,500 employees working nationwide and in select international markets, we serve the Commercial, Public, Transportation, Industrial, and Power markets to tackle the toughest construction challenges. Structural Technologies is the in‑house engineering business line of Structural Group.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new and strengthen existing client relationships throughout the greater Northeast region. The position requires significant travel across the Northeast United States and prefers candidates located within the Northeast (CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI). As a Commercial Business Development Manager for the VSL Supply business line, you will bring the capabilities of VSL Supply to the Commercial market, covering new construction, structural strengthening, structural concrete repair, historic restoration, and building envelope and façade repair.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with owners, engineers, general contractors, and other stakeholders.

Participate in sales meetings, calls, seminar facilitation, lunch & learns, trade shows, and the development of other sales strategies and initiatives.

Proactively manage accounts and expand the company’s business relationship with them.

Meet or exceed annual sales goals set forth by management.

Create, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including RFP responses and industry‑specific solutions.

Manage a sales process related to projects with varying levels of complexity and contract values.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of previous sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial market, preferably selling specialty construction services or products to the commercial market.

Strong knowledge of the market—including engineering firms, property management firms, building owners, general contractors, shell contractors, etc.

Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals/quota utilizing a CRM system.

Solid understanding of the sales process and ability to explain it from identification of opportunity through close of sale.

Preference for candidates with previous construction or restoration experience.

Travel: 70‑80% of the time, with 30% out of state.
