My client is an early-stage robotics startup in
Austin, TX , building
rugged, scalable robots
for hazardous environments — from firefighting and emergency response to defense and industrial operations. Their mission is simple but bold:
build robots that go where humans can’t.
They’ve raised an
oversubscribed round from top-tier venture firms
and are already working with
80+ agencies and teams across the U.S. , including the
U.S. Air Force, Army, and SERDP . The team is small (10 engineers), focused, and building their
5th‑generation robotic platform
— taking it from prototype to production.
As an
Electrical Engineer , you’ll design and build the
electrical backbone of their robots
— from analog/digital circuit design and PCB layout to embedded systems, power distribution, and sensor integration. This is a
hands‑on role
where you’ll design, solder, test, and debug in both the lab and the field.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
2+ years
designing and testing PCBs for embedded or electromechanical systems
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Experience with Altium, KiCad, or Eagle
Familiarity with microcontrollers, UART/SPI/I2C/CAN
A hands‑on, startup mindset — ready to prototype fast and iterate even faster
If you want to
design electronics that help robots survive heat, debris, and chaos , this is your chance to build something that truly matters!
