Job Purpose Performs the setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems, may complete rework on assemblies or systems as a result of testing, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommends solutions to technical problems, and may assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
Responsibilities
Performs the setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Performs sub‑assembly and system‑level functional test and debug to component level.
Troubleshoots rejected analog and digital assemblies down to component level.
Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
Assists in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
Education & Experience
4 to 6 years of manufacturing electronic test technician experience.
Works on semi‑routine assignments but recognizes the need for occasional deviation.
Follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
Displays the ability to read, understand and follow test process instructions (TPIs).
Must be available for overtime and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hrs/week.
Additional Requirements
Responsible for performing production and field service returns testing and troubleshooting.
Demonstrates detailed root‑cause analysis troubleshooting skills.
Has the ability to evaluate and troubleshoot complex electromechanical instruments.
Can perform general assembly and disassembly of electronic equipment using basic hand tools.
Interprets schematics and drawings, performs modifications and accomplishes rework to new and used sub‑assemblies and systems.
Has previous experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies and digital multimeters.
Works closely with mechanical, electrical and optical engineers providing feedback and recommending changes to improve operation or quality of test, assembly fixtures, tooling and processes.

Salary & Benefits Annual salary range: $56,160 – $68,640 ($27 – $33 per hour).
