Job Description
Procedures and scripts for cutting-edge BIOS firmware.
The role involves using Python and other scripting/programming languages, working with automated test environments, debugging hardware/software issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure all features are validated and optimized on time.
Requirement / Must Have
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in BIOS/Firmware Test Plan development.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Python, bash, and C/C++ scripting/programming.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of computer hardware (CPU/APU, GPUs, memory, bus logic, display technologies) and software architecture (driver/BIOS).
Basic networking skills.
Comfortable working across multiple operating system environments.
Experience
Developing and executing software/firmware test cases, including automation and continuous integration.
Using automated test environments (e.g., Jenkins) and internal/external hardware/software utilities.
Debugging software and hardware issues across validation, bring-up, and production phases of SOC programs.
Collaborating with multiple teams to track test execution and ensure features are validated on schedule.
Driving technical innovation to improve validation capabilities, including tool and script development and process enhancements.
Responsibilities
Create, execute, and maintain detailed test procedures and test scripts for BIOS firmware using Python.
Capture and report failures to firmware development teams using various test tools and utilities.
Ensure tasks are completed adhering to customer and internal timelines.
Develop and execute test plans targeting Linux and Windows environments.
Debug issues during process, bring-up, validation, and production phases.
Work with industry-standard tools for debugging software and hardware issues.
Engage with supporting technical teams and other software/hardware modeling frameworks.
Qualification And Education
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of relevant BIOS/Firmware test plan development experience.
