IT Developer Sr-Highjump/WMS

Location Ashley Furniture Industries – Charlotte, NC or Advance, NC.
Role Overview The HighJump WMS Sr Developer will determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions within Distribution applications. Responsibilities include documenting solutions, preparing program specifications, designing database architecture, and integrating applications.
Primary Responsibilities
Gather required information from vendors and recommend purchases, testing, and approving products.
Plan and execute programming projects by confirming objectives and specifications.
Research and recommend system solutions, comparing custom development with purchase alternatives.
Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and clear code with appropriate code comments.
Verify coding through unit testing and trial runs.
Integrate applications by designing database architecture and establishing connectivity with network systems.
Provide technical leadership for the HighJump WMS Support team, participating in design and code reviews and supporting solution testing and deployment.
Mentor and supervise a team of developers, managing performance, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to extend the capabilities of the HighJump WMS platform.
Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required to meet with business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of experience in software development and services.
5+ years of hands‑on experience with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle).
2 full‑cycle implementations of HighJump WMS.
5‑7 years of experience implementing HighJump business logic and creating web pages and workflows.
Experience with HighJump workstation administration, managing users and reports.
Proficiency in software design, coding standards, code reviews, and best practices.
Strong consulting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
3‑5 years of experience enhancing HighJump WMS in a retail furniture environment.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, WCF, REST).
Experience creating stored procedures, views, functions, and jobs in Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience working in an Agile team.
