Summary The
DevSecOps Coach
will play a pivotal role in shaping, advancing and embedding software delivery practices that integrate development, security and operations. The Coach will guide in adopting secure, agile, and cloud‑native methodologies aligned with the AMC.
Responsibilities
Support organizational transformation toward Agile, Kanban, and DevSecOps practices within government mission environments.
Conduct workshops, training sessions, and hands‑on coaching for technical teams on DevSecOps principles, best practices, and tools.
Collaborate with leaders and management to align DevSecOps initiatives with business objectives and secure the necessary resources for the transition.
Evaluate the organization’s current DevSecOps maturity level and define a strategic roadmap for adopting new tools, workflows, and cultural shifts.
Help teams incorporate security measures that improve the organization’s ability to detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents.
Provide hands‑on coaching and mentorship to integrated teams (government and contractor) on iterative planning, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and release‑on‑demand strategies.
Enable logging and monitoring capabilities within the CI/CD pipeline and production environment to track security‑related events and identify anomalies in real time.
Streamline the vulnerability management process, including timely feedback loops to development teams to help them prioritize and remediate security issues efficiently.
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration between cyber, software, infrastructure, and policy teams to adopt DevSecOps‑aligned workflows.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure code effectiveness and quality, as well as providing team members with the ability to review code entering production.
Work productively within an agile, sprint‑based environment adhering to all applicable levels of reporting to the project manager.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, IT, or business‑related programs.
10+ years of experience in Agile, DevOps, or Lean process transformation.
5+ years of experience leading organizational transformation toward Agile, Kanban, and DevSecOps practices within government mission environments.
SAFe, Scrum Master, or DevOps‑related certifications required.
5+ years’ experience supporting DoD or federal programs is highly desirable.
Agile Scrum certifications desired.
Must have active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong background in coaching Agile and DevSecOps methodologies within enterprise environments.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD platforms.
Experience interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and hybrid cloud environments.
CISSP, CISA, or CISM cybersecurity certifications desired.
Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (Python, Java, Bash, Go).
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
Hands‑on experience with infrastructure automation tools.
Experience with agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with SIEM systems, firewalls, VPNs, data encryption, endpoint protection.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
