Join Northrop Grumman to lead a maintenance team for USAF E‑11A aircraft at Robins AFB, GA. The role requires managing mechanics, avionics technicians, shift leads and ground support equipment technicians to meet all mission requirements. Secret clearance is required. The position may rotate shifts, allows for 25% travel and relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities
Manage and execute all maintenance for assigned USAF E‑11A aircraft with designated maintenance team.
Lead troubleshooting, repair, and service of aircraft and engine systems, conducting diagnosis of malfunctions.
Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re‑assembly, or adjustment of aircraft systems per technical specifications, engineering instructions and FAA regulations.
Maintain FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms.
Execute line‑maintenance and flight operations support, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation, parts replacement, line repairable unit replacement, calibration, testing, engine repairs or replacements, and documentation per Air Force Form 781 series.
Conduct ground maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with Airworthiness approvals.
Perform Tier 2 and Tier 3 maintenance, including depot‑level or major maintenance at CONUS site.
Carry out progressive maintenance and inspections to minimize aircraft downtime.
Perform end‑of‑runway, postflight, preflight, thru‑flight and phase inspections.
Advise on maintenance problems, aircraft servicing and inspection.
Use technical data to diagnose and solve aircraft‑system maintenance problems.
Maintain and inspect aircraft structures, systems and components, including inspection of corrosion, tolerances and proper installation.
Supervise aircraft jacking, lifting, towing operations, and inspections of aircraft and ground equipment.
Manage maintenance records, automated data systems, and historical reports for full documentation.
Inventory and maintain aircraft equipment; support ground support equipment maintenance.
Assist other aircraft leads and functional team members with assigned duties to ensure mission success.
Travel 25% of the time; deploy overseas for OCONUS operations as required.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma with a minimum of 9 years of aircraft mechanic experience.
Current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
Current U.S. Passport.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
Compliance with U.S. Government medical and deployment requirements.
Medical requirements for worldwide travel, including physical fitness.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport quickly if not already possessed.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of BD‑700 Global Express or USAF E‑11A aircraft experience.
Current DoD SECRET Clearance with at least one year before expiration.
Business or regional jet experience (CRJ, G‑5, G‑4, Challenger, Falcon, etc.).
5+ years aircraft maintenance operations experience in business and/or airline industry.
2 years deployed E‑11A mechanic experience.
Special mission aircraft experience.
DoD/civilian maintenance program experience.
Corridor and CAMP aviation maintenance program software experience.
Customer response center/cell experience (civilian/military).
Experience in FAR Part 135/145 or MRO environment.
Proficiency with computer operations and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
Salary & Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $32.66 - $36.00 per hour. Bonuses, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Employees receive health insurance, life and disability, savings plan, paid holidays, PTO and potential long‑term incentive awards.
