DevOps Architect
Contract – Hybrid (3 days a week)
Locations: Seattle, WA; Hartford, CT; Dallas, TX; Edison, NJ
Language Preference: Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese and English
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
Configure and manage GitLab Runners across multiple environments (cloud, on‑premise).
Integrate GitLab with third‑party tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
Develop version control best practices, branching strategies, and repository management policies.
Perform GitLab upgrades and backups.
Implement security controls and access management within GitLab.
Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot CI/CD issues.
Provide training and support to development teams on GitLab usage and DevOps processes.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure auditability and compliance with internal and external standards.
Stay up to date with GitLab releases and recommend improvements or new feature adoption.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3‑5+ years of experience with GitLab administration and CI/CD pipeline development.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, YAML) for automation.
Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Experience integrating GitLab with Azure.
Understanding of Git version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
Problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
GitLab Certified CI/CD Specialist or GitLab Certified Associate.
Exposure to other CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
