Senior Tableau Developer (Onsite - Irvine, CA)
Seeking a Senior Tableau Developer to join a fast‑paced data engineering and reporting team. This is a hands‑on, onsite role (5 days/week) focused on building, optimizing, and enhancing Tableau dashboards that drive key business insights. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Tableau Cloud and SQL, strong visualization and storytelling skills, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to promote data self‑service across the organization.
Must‑Have Qualifications
Proven expertise in Tableau Cloud, including publishing and managing workbooks and data sources.
Strong SQL skills for querying and preparing datasets.
Experience creating and managing data sources from Snowflake, SQL Server, SAP HANA, and Google Sheets.
Demonstrated ability to design dashboards that follow data storytelling and UI/UX best practices.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Tableau dashboards.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to collaborate with 20 to 30 internal partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Tableau Bridge to connect to on‑prem data sources.
Familiarity with SSRS and data integration concepts.
Portfolio of dashboards on Tableau Public showcasing design and technical proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance Tableau dashboards that turn data into actionable insights.
Create and maintain Tableau data sources across Snowflake, SQL Server, SAP HANA, and Google Sheets.
Implement data security and access controls using Tableau Virtual Connections.
Publish workbooks and manage Tableau Cloud environments for performance and scalability.
Partner with business stakeholders to enable self‑service analytics and maintain consistent data standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard performance or data quality issues.
Follow visualization best practices and ensure adherence to internal branding and style guidelines.
