DevOps Engineer – JFFT Program
Openings: 2 | Location: Colorado Springs, CO | Work Type: Hybrid (On-site near airport, occasionally at Peterson SFB) | Clearance: Secret | Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
TEKsystems is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a contract-to-hire role on the JFFT program. The position supports secure, automated deployment pipelines for mission‑critical Force Tracking capabilities. The engineer works closely with development, QA, and platform teams to ensure reliable and efficient CI/CD processes using GitLab and modern DevSecOps tools.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for .NET Core 8 applications.
Automate build, test, packaging, and deployment processes.
Manage GitLab Runners and optimize pipeline performance.
Implement deployment strategies to Kubernetes, VMs, or PaaS.
Orchestrate Helm/Kustomize releases and manage secrets.
Monitor pipeline metrics and build dashboards for reporting.
Mentor developers in GitLab CI best practices and trunk‑based development.
Collaborate across engineering, QA, SRE, and security teams.
Required Skills
2+ years of GitLab CI/CD pipeline experience.
5+ years in software systems or network engineering.
Experience with C#, .NET Core 8, and YAML pipelines.
AWS, Kubernetes, Docker expertise.
Security+ CE or equivalent (IAT Level II baseline certification).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Helm, Kustomize.
Experience in DoD or mission‑critical environments.
Windows & Linux systems experience.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Interview Process Direct interview with the Deputy Program Manager and Engineering Manager. Topics include pipeline architecture, DevOps tools, cloud/containerization experience, and security practices.
