Great Lakes Quick Lube is hiring entry-level automotive technicians to perform oil changes, filter replacements, and basic maintenance tasks in a quick-lube environment. Provide exceptional customer service and address concerns Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles Inspect vehicles for potential issues or areas requiring attention Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and fluid level checks Basic computer knowledge/aptitude Keep track of inventory and ensure supplies are available Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Requirements
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Excellent problem‑solving skills Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks Able to learn and follow the VIOC SuperPro process for all services Achieve SuperPro certification Must have reliable transportation Essential Functions
Inspecting and replacing car lights and wipers Check fluid levels and add fluids to vehicle when necessary Inspect/replace engine air filter and cabin air filter Add oil to engine in the proper amount based on specifications of vehicle make/model Able to remove/rotate/lift/reinstall tires for tire rotation service Lubricate necessary components of the chassis/driveline Perform additional services on cooling systems and transmissions Perform second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly Able to move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles Frequently ascends/descends stairs/catwalks/stepstools to retrieve vehicle parts or perform services top side or underneath the vehicle Able to work for extended periods of time with arms above head when performing services underneath the vehicle on a catwalk Constantly positions self to perform required services under the hood, related to tires, or under catwalk working underneath the vehicle Able to move/transport items up to approximately 50 pounds Able to work with tools to perform duties in tight, sometimes hard to reach areas Communicate verbally and receive verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely and in the proper order Environment
