74788 The Role at a Glance

The Actuary in this role will play an integral part in pricing fixed, fixed indexed, registered index-linked, and variable annuity products in support of Lincoln’s strategic initiatives, working closely with enterprise partners to optimize pricing, primarily post-launch. The Actuary is ultimately expected to understand the model and the business and uncover key business insight for management. This role will work across business units and functions and will have the opportunity to present to various stakeholders, including product management, pricing review, risk management, and senior leadership. What you\'ll be doing

Pricing and Risk Analysis

Perform pricing analysis using vendor or internally developed software, analyze pricing results for annuity contract and rider benefits, determine appropriate assumptions, and model product features. Analyze and evaluate risk management strategies: understand the impacts of potential changes in product design, investment strategy, reserve and/or capital requirements, and hedging strategies on product risk and profitability. Collaborate with key stakeholders on strategies to meet or exceed profitability or sales objectives. Present results to team members, key business partners, and management. Actuarial / Technical Support

Maintain existing actuarial models and tools and proactively identify and implement improvements. Develop tools and support product team according to business needs. Special Projects

Participate in ad hoc projects related to product development, implementation, inforce management, and corporate risk management initiatives such as ERM and capital management. Pricing Documentation

Prepare reports summarizing pricing analysis and results, including documentation of assumptions and methodology. What we’re looking for

Driven and resourceful problem-solver with strong technical and critical-thinking skills. Comfort collaborating and communicating across various teams and levels of seniority. Curiosity and comfort asking questions and challenging the status quo. Capability to be productive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and responsibilities. 6+ years of experience in Actuarial positions. FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of actuarial experience. Understanding of capital markets and financial instruments (assets and derivatives) that support Annuity products. Knowledge of AXIS is a plus. Application Deadline

The pay range for this position is $108,501 - $195,900 with new hires anticipated pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package. About The Company
