Pay: $184,019.00 - $562,000.00 per year average
100% Commission Pay
Qualifications
Experience directly related to the Mortgage Industry Appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state) Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurance companies Working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs and private investors Familiarity with local, state and national laws (e.g. zoning ordinances, Truth‑in Lending, RESPA, energy audit requirements, etc.) Excellent communication skills and ability to analyze financial information Sales‑oriented self‑starter Responsibilities
Establish referral source relationships for a steady flow of loan volume from real estate brokers and other external sources Sell mortgage loans to customers Generate new business by building and maintaining relationships with realtors, real estate agents, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, CPAs, and other relevant professionals Participate in mortgage sales activities, including attending closings and open houses, and conducting seminars and other lead‑generating activities Collect borrower information, fill out loan applications, and gather required documents (tax returns, bank statements, etc.) Analyze prospective borrowers’ income and debt, pre‑qualify to determine maximum mortgage affordability, and counsel on loan products and closing costs Provide disclosures to the borrower, including Truth‑in Lending, Good Faith Estimate, and others Advise the borrower on credit problems and facilitate loan approval Maintain regular contact with borrowers, realtors, and the lender throughout the application process, providing status updates and collecting additional information as needed Order legal documents and review Closing Disclosure with clients prior to closing Benefits
