The Position The Accounting Manager is responsible for the general accounting functions and operations such as general ledger, accounts payable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting, develops and directs accounting professionals and support staff.

Duties And Responsibilities

Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP, OCBOA, local, state, and federal tax laws.

Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting.

Evaluates accounting processes and systems and implements optimizations.

Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, accounts analysis, and monthly closing entries.

Supervise daily accounting functions to include accounts payable, journal entries, daily and weekly reporting.

Assist Vice President of Finance in completion of year‑end duties.

Assist with annual budget preparation and annual audit.

Ensure established policies and procedures are followed and regulatory requirements and standards are met.

Conduct budget analysis on a monthly, and quarterly basis.

Conduct cash flow analysis and cash flow projections.

Communicates with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner at all times.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required.

5+ years supervisory experience required.

7-10 years of experience in the related area and as individual contributor.

Knowledge of accrual‑based accounting and month end closing procedures.

Familiarity with Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting (OCBOA).

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Previous experience in Managed Service Organization, property management and/or public accounting preferred.

Experience in multiple areas of healthcare finance and accounting.
