Standardized Patient Nurse Practitioner Students - College of Nursing
Grand Canyon University is seeking part‑time Standardized Patients (SP) to support Nurse Practitioner students and faculty. An SP is a trained individual who accurately and consistently portrays the history, personality, physical findings, emotional structure, and response patterns of a real or simulated patient. SPs provide individualized feedback on interpersonal and clinical skills to students.

What You Will Do
Portray all aspects of the patient scenario, including history, affect/behavior, and physical findings in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner.
Provide written and face‑to‑face verbal feedback to the supervising faculty member.
Accept ongoing feedback and incorporate it into case simulations.
Respond to e‑mails in a timely fashion.
Be punctual and keep scheduled appointments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
High School Diploma.
Willingness to agree to a flexible schedule, including possible evening appointments.
Ability to travel to scheduled facilities reliably.
Pass a pre‑employment background check.
Pass a pre‑health physical exam.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting Grand Canyon University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
