Job Summary

Assist with regional blocks and anesthesia equipment setup

Set up infusion systems, transducers, BAIN Circuits, and non‑invasive monitoring devices

Collect and deliver blood and lab specimens

Maintain sterility and assist in cleaning equipment

Support anesthesia team throughout procedures

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies

Assist anesthesiologists with regional nerve blocks

Set up and configure infusion pumps, transducers, and monitoring devices

Collect and transport blood specimens and deliver lab samples

Ensure a sterile environment during all procedural activities

Respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain equipment readiness

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Teamwork and collaborative patient care

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new protocols

Competence in aseptic techniques for blood collection

Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent (HS)

Minimum 1 year of related experience

Experience maintaining and repairing anesthesia equipment

Knowledge of aseptic technique

CPR certification (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Physical Requirements This position requires regular standing or walking, handling objects up to 10 pounds, and intermittently lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Tasks may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals, radiation, blood‑borne pathogens, and repetitive motions.

Shift Work 36 hours per week with flexibility for days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties as needed by the department.
