Under general supervision, perform a full range of duties at the UCSD McGrath Outpatient Pavilion. Assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications (including antineoplastics/chemotherapy) for patient use for IV sterile compounding preparation and administration in accordance with established procedures under USP 797/USP 800. Assist in the distribution of medications via Pyxis Med Station and A Stations; maintain skills applicable to all information systems within the pharmacy; maintain inventory levels; and perform other duties as assigned. Perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in the assigned area. Minimum Qualifications

Certified Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required. Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacy terminology and calculations. Proficient computer experience and accurate data entry skills. Strong detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information. Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences. Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability. Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment and function effectively in a high-volume, multiple-demand environment. Preferred Qualifications

Two to five (2-5) years of previous IV and Chemo experience. Special Conditions

Hours are variable (8 to 10 hours shifts) including weekends and rotating holidays (up to every other), coverage for sick calls and vacation. Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on business needs. Must be willing to rotate to all pharmacy areas/sites. Pay Transparency Act: Annual Full Pay Range: $67,756 - $84,209 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $32.45 - $40.33. Hiring Pay Scale: $32.45 - $40.33 / Hour; Work Schedule: Days, 10 Hour Shifts, Monday - Sunday; variable. Worksite: Hillcrest. Appointment Type: Career. Appointment Percent: 100%.
