Job Summary The Senior Associate in Credit & Asset Management will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, detail‑focused service alongside team members. This role involves generating timely and precise analytical information to bolster the Asset Management platform, covering an array of capital structures (including debt and equity) and property types (such as office, retail, industrial, multifamily, condos, student housing, and hospitality). Interaction with borrowers, equity partners, and client representatives is a key part of the job, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, urgent approach to communication. The successful candidate will not only flourish in a team setting but also demonstrate the independence and initiative necessary for solo achievements, including the confidence to seek clarity on complex issues or tasks.

Responsibilities

Develop and update sophisticated models for cash flow projections and valuations on a quarterly and annual basis.

Assess proposed distributions to ensure they align with equity capital structures and waterfall agreements.

Manage the coordination and thorough review of both debt and equity funding requests promptly.

Perform detailed quantitative analysis, including comparisons of budgeted, actual, and forecasted cash flows.

Respond to ad hoc financial analysis and data inquiries efficiently.

Track and evaluate the advancement of business strategies and capital expenditure plans.

Analyze and provide insights on proposed office and retail lease agreements.

Conduct market research to gather sale comparables and assumptions needed for accurate valuations.

Ensure compliance with covenants as stipulated in loan or partnership agreements.

Oversee the collection and analysis of monthly financial statements.

Manage the collection and evaluation of annual operating and capital budgets.

Collaborate with the internal insurance team to oversee insurance coverage and manage escrow requirements.

Work with the internal tax team to ensure tax payments and escrow arrangements are accurately maintained.

Mentor and guide analysts in managing their workloads, ensuring efficient task distribution and support for professional development.

Oversee and ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures, identifying and addressing discrepancies to maintain the highest level of product or service excellence.

Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance team performance and service delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or similar field.

3+ years of relevant professional experience.

Knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and terminology.

Familiarity with commercial real estate valuation methods and principles.

Understanding of different real estate property types and corresponding lease agreements.

Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and adhering to deadlines.

Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Argus Enterprise software.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
