Special Requirements & Preferences Experience in auditing and/or fiscal training is

required .

One (1) or more years of experience in performing compliance audits.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.

Compensation & Working Hours The salary range for this position is $42,561.60 - $46,817.76. Anticipated hiring salary will be based upon experience.

Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday in office.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprinting as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

Knowledge of the methods of compiling and analyzing data.

Knowledge of basic mathematics.

Ability to understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Ability to review, analyze and evaluate data.

Ability to conduct in-house training programs.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities Perform compliance audits of the Division’s in-house payments processed through the Risk Management Insurance Claims System (IMS). These duties include, but are not limited to, development of audit plans and programs, development of audit workpapers, sample selection, review of payment and supporting documentation, analysis of findings, and report development summarizing audit results.

Develop and conduct fiscal training to Division staff processing and/or approving in-house payments through the IMS.
