Department: Facilities Maintenance - UPC
FTE: 1.00 • Full Time • Shift: Rotating
Compensation: Receive 17% Weekday Nights, 26% Weekend Nights and 15% Weekend Day shift differentials.
Minimum Offer: $20.82/hr.
Maximum Offer: $31.24/hr.

Position Summary: Performs various routine to moderately complex surface preparation, painting, and finishing tasks to include applying a variety of methods, media, and techniques to both interior and exterior surfaces; ensure adherence to accrediting agencies. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed Responsibilities
MAINTENANCE - Apply paints, sealers and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete and wood
MAINTENANCE - Perform minor and specialized building exterior and interior repairs and refinishing tasks; to include caulking, finish repair, texturing task preparation, staining, sealing , ceramic tile repair and cove base installation
MAINTENANCE - Operate equipment such as airless spray, scaffolding, motorized lifts and other related equipment as required
PLAN - Estimate time and materials needed for painting projects
ASSISTANCE - Assist other department personnel as needed
RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications Education
Essential: High School or GED Equivalent
Experience
Essential: 3 years directly related experience
Nonessential: No preferred experience
Credentials
Essential: Valid New Mexico Driver's License
Essential: UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
Physical Conditions
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Working conditions
Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials require PPE
