How You Will Contribute
Support the pricing of individual accounts and work closely with ART underwriting.
Ensure the design, maintenance and use of pricing tools is consistent with actuarial approaches.
Understand and factor in carrier partner timelines, targets, approaches, benchmarks, guidance, and assumptions.
Work with CAT Modeling Team to understand approach, including data needs, assumptions, and drivers of output.
Prioritize and lead actuarial projects, balancing both planned support and unplanned requests.
Collaborate with the CUO, ART underwriters, Catastrophe Analysts and Lawyers on new business opportunities as part of a team.
Support the development of pricing tools across the Specialty Casualty Division.
Enhance approach on predictive analytics work that impacts pricing.
Embrace client‑centric culture and behavior both within and outside the actuarial functions.
Support portfolio management, reporting and binder/reinsurance negotiations, including appropriate accounting for ART products.
Licenses And Certifications
Actuarial designation of ACAS. FCAS is a plus.
Skills & Experience To Be Successful
Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience; ART modeling is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
Ability to work independently and autonomously, while taking direction.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to separate the important information from the unimportant, as well as to work with ambiguous and incomplete information.
Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision‑making is very advantageous.
Strong technical pricing skills with knowledge of exposure‑based pricing, experience modelling, catastrophe modelling, stochastic techniques, and predictive analytics.
Pay Range $140k - $200k Annual
