Job Summary Produces images for medical diagnosis by operating magnetic resonance equipment. Performs procedures and calibrates equipment under radiologist direction. Processes images and coordinates patient care with other services.
Job Requirements Education and Work Experience:
Certificate or diploma from an MRI school or an associate’s degree in radiology: Required
Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require a bachelor’s): Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Registered with ARRT-R or ARRT-MR or ARMRIT: Required
State radiologic tech license (RT) in the state of practice: Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/HS‑BLS/RQIBLS) certification: Required
Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred (CA)
Venipuncture certification (IV) required in CA
ARRT‑Radiography or ARRT‑MRI or ARMRIT: Required
Essential Functions
Scans patients per established protocols and physician orders, producing diagnostic images and maintaining documentation and compliance.
Prepares, administers, and monitors contrast media, adhering to precautions.
Obtains patient information and coordinates preparation instructions with other care areas.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Organizational Requirements All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
