Summary This Sr. Analyst – Measurement role provides critical support to operations and related disciplines with measurement analytics. The position focuses on ensuring accurate and balanced volume data across our pipelines, which supports accounting, product movement, and field operations.

Responsibilities

Manual entry of 3rd‑party volumes and liquid quality data.

Use measurement data system tools to analyze imported and manual volumes and liquid quality data, ensuring accuracy and unit‑of‑measure consistency.

Maintain integrity of meter and volume information in the measurement data system for assigned assets.

Create, review, and distribute analytical information and reports to validate measurement data accuracy.

Provide loss/gain support to accounting, product movement, field measurement, and operations personnel for custody‑transfer issue resolution, complying with SOX and internal specifications.

Cooperate with third‑party interconnecting companies to ensure timely and accurate data exchange.

Support field measurement operations by providing current and historical meter information for daily and monthly gross‑net volume reconciliations.

Collaborate with measurement technicians and field operations supervisors to resolve balance issues.

Reconcile tank tickets in the measurement and/or accounting system with SCADA reports for assigned assets.

Reconcile truck tickets in the measurement system for assigned assets.

Prepare, review, and distribute monthly G/L reports for Refined Products Pipelines and Terminals.

Trend meter factor by system and terminal, explaining factor variances for assigned assets.

Prepare gain/loss by batch, PL system, location, and area for assigned assets.

Schedule and host balance‑review meetings with field measurement and operations groups for all assigned pipeline assets.

Document balance‑review meetings and any edits performed to balance configurations and reports.

Requirements Experience requirements are tailored to the seniority level of the position:

Specialist/Analyst level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2‑5 years of relevant experience.

Senior Specialist/Analyst level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 5‑8 years of relevant experience.

Lead Specialist/Analyst level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years of relevant experience.

Education and Experience

Minimum of one or more years of Flow‑Cal experience reviewing and editing liquid balance configurations and associated volumetric data.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Aptitude for data analysis.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

Self‑starter capable of managing multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.

Proficiency in MS Office. Flow‑Cal or other liquid measurement systems are a plus.
