Overview
Interim Staff Accountant (Contract) – Cincinnati, OH. Hybrid schedule (Onsite MTW, Remote Th/F). 2-Month Contract with potential for extension or hire. Base pay range : $30.00/hr - $38.00/hr Responsibilities
Assist with
month-end close
activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Prepare and post
prepaids, accruals, and adjusting entries
in compliance with GAAP.
Review
general ledger accounts
to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and analyze
monthly financial statements
and management reports.
Support
internal and external audit
requests with thorough documentation.
Perform
balance sheet and P&L reconciliations , resolving discrepancies proactively.
Assist with
light payroll accounting
functions, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.
Contribute to
process improvement initiatives
within the accounting department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field
required.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
Strong knowledge of
U.S. GAAP
and standard accounting practices.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Ability to work both
independently
and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility available)
Hybrid Schedule:
Onsite Monday-Wednesday, Remote Thursday-Friday
