The world of business is changing and expanding in new and exciting ways. At Perimeter College, Business Administration students develop specialized skills in business fields and improve their ability to communicate, think independently and thrive in the workplace. The department serves 2600 Business pathway students and is comprised of 25 full-time faculty members and 21 part-time instructors. The department is home to the Economics, Computer Information Systems, and Accounting disciplines as well as the popular BUSA: Business, Values, and You introductory course. The Business Administration program emphasizes preparation for decision making in a business environment. Perimeter College faculty members have practical experience in a variety of industries. By drawing upon this experience in the classroom, they provide students with real-world examples to complement business theories. A student who gains an Associate of Science degree by enrolling in the academic pathway in Business Administration lays the foundation for a business career and provides an excellent jump-start for a bachelor\'s degree. With the core knowledge gained at Perimeter College, students can continue specialized studies at a four-year institution, enter the workplace as a skilled employee or express their entrepreneurial spirit by starting a business. Position Description
Perimeter College invites applications for a lecturer in accounting. Lecturer positions are academic year (August-May) non-tenure track appointments, which may be renewed up to six (6) years. This is a teaching-focused position: 100% of the workload is instruction. Lecturers are responsible for providing 36 credit hours of instruction per academic year and maintaining weekly office hours. Perimeter College faculty maintain a campus presence, and the successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to early undergraduate teaching and learning, and the ability to thrive in a highly diverse academic setting. Perimeter College is a multi-campus access institution, and the teaching assignment may be on any of the college\'s campuses. Required Experience

A minimum of a Master\'s degree required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master\'s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required. Salary Range Master\'s: $44,581 - $49,581 Preferred Qualifications/Experience
A Ph.D. in the teaching field is preferred. Salary Range Ph.D.: $49,731 - $54,731 College teaching experience. One year is preferred and can include experience as a teaching assistant at a college or university. Experience teaching online and using a distance learning platform. Experience or demonstrated interest in high-impact educational practices, scholarship of teaching and learning, building college-to-career linkages, and/or other pedagogical initiatives that enhance student success. Experience or demonstrated interest in scholarship in the discipline and/or scholarship of teaching and learning. CPA certification is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods with a demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology. Ability to create a sense of belonging for a varied student population and facilitate student learning in both the in-person and virtual learning environments. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills (able to maintain appropriate records). Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology. Ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve discipline, department, or college goals. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations
