$6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I). Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds and applicant’s qualifications. Duties Summary
Independently perform highly complex professional work; supervise a staff of professional workers comparable to the IV level; serve as a project or team leader; and perform other related duties as assigned. This position is located within the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL), Land Management Division, Enforcement Section. The Enforcement Section investigates complaints of trespassing and other misuse of Hawaiian home lands, initiates actions to evict trespassers, and protects DHHL property and assets from unauthorized use. Responsibilities
Investigate highly complex complaints of alleged illegal activity. Analyze documents regarding lease conditions, status of lands, and other information to determine compliance with lease agreements. Compose clear and comprehensive reports detailing investigative findings and recommendations. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies to resolve and prevent illegal activity on Department lands. Perform other related duties as assigned, including serving as a working supervisor for the Enforcement Section. Minimum Qualification Requirements
Legal Authorization To Work : U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. Basic Education : Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university. General Experience : One year of responsible professional work requiring high analytical skill, involving gathering, evaluating, and analyzing facts and other pertinent information, and preparing clear reports. Investigator Experience
Applicants must possess working knowledge of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1921 (HHCA), DHHL Administrative Rules, and departmental policies and procedures. Experience should include one year of investigative work demonstrating this knowledge and the ability to apply problem‑solving methods, recommend courses of action, and compose narrative reports. Other Requirements
