Position Summary Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for vertical infrastructure projects in the Federal and state & local government markets.
Responsibilities
Lead and provide technical guidance to mechanical project teams.
Manage and attend client meetings, ensuring project objectives are met.
Oversee construction phase services with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and learning.
Contribute to business development efforts with innovative solutions.
Regular travel to military bases and airports as part of lead mechanical engineer role.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
PE license in any state and the ability to obtain in additional states as needed.
Expertise in many mechanical system types, such as hot water, chilled water, condenser water systems, VAV, geothermal, VRF systems, DDC control systems.
Experience in sustainable design, steam systems, commissioning services, and plumbing systems.
Proven track record as a project lead.
Experience in designing mechanical systems for Federal Government projects.
Commitment to sustainable design and innovation.
Ideal candidate has performed federal vertical infrastructure work for DoD or FHWA.
Benefits This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $125,000 - $160,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and PTO.
