Litigation Paralegal (Environmental Law) Hybrid – Washington, D.C.
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced
Litigation Paralegal
to join a respected law firm. This is a full-time position working on a hybrid basis supporting attorneys in a
Litigation Department . The ideal candidate will have
at least 3 years of paralegal experience
handling
environmental litigation matters from inception to trial and utilizing eDiscovery as required.
Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery demands/responses, and motions
Conduct legal research and support case strategy development
Manage heavy document review and organization, including E-Discovery (e.g., CasePoint, Relativity)
E-file legal documents
in both
state and federal courts
Knowledge of California state and federal court filing procedures
Willingness and ability to travel to Los Angeles for hearings
Maintain and update case files, attorney calendars, court dockets, and litigation deadlines
Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties professionally and promptly
Support attorneys through all stages of litigation—from inception to trial preparation
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality of case materials
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of litigation experience (preference environmental law)
Minimum 3 years
of experience as a litigation Paralegal, including hands‑on work in
environmental law
Proven ability to handle cases
from inception to trial
Strong drafting skills for legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
Proficiency in
e-filing
in both state and federal courts
Solid understanding of E-Discovery processes and tools
Bachelor's degree, Associate’s Degree or
Paralegal Certificate
preferred but not required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and access shelving up to 8 ft high
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
and legal research platforms
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively
Compensation This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $75,000 to $85,000.00 annually.
