Overview The Senior Director, Compensation will work directly with the Compensation team and HR leadership to develop and deliver strategic proposals regarding compensation programs. These programs will range from broad‑based incentives to developing metrics and ensuring that our day‑to‑day programs are running at optimal levels. The Senior Director, Compensation will design, support, and implement compensation programs aligned with Epsilon’s performance culture and ensure that programs are current, competitive and compliant with legal requirements. The person in this role will be called upon to provide support to existing programs and business leaders but also be able to support the strategy and design demands on the compensation function. Additionally, this position may be called upon to provide support but not limited to the following: merit, annual bonus, salary surveys, pay equity, pay transparency and more, as well as providing day‑to‑day support for various business units related to job, wage and salary classification.

This role is critical in ensuring that Epsilon remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent while maintaining compliance and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a blend of strategic vision, detailed execution, and collaborative skills.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Leaders in HR, Compensation, and the business to validate, and recommend new innovative approaches to compensation, as well as day‑to‑day approaches to compensation.

Provide supervision to Compensation team associates and provide guidance to other members of the compensation team, regarding annual salary review/merit process, variable compensation/commission plans, equity, and other compensation programs.

Manage and oversee large scale initiatives involving cross‑functional teams.

Help maintain a compensation structure/philosophy and classifications system, define job levels and families, compile market data and establish pay parameters.

Participate, analyze and interpret market data.

Complete special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or company pay equity.

Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, HRIS and business owners to implement processes, systems and tools to improve compensation administration, communication and analysis.

Help design and facilitate training to educate managers on compensation strategies, practices, and assist in educating on compensation related legal and compliance issues.

Consolidate information and produce reports to be used for management decision making.

Support communications and change management efforts of Compensation/HR.

Ensure proper documentation and audit processes are developed, approved and followed.

May help supervise and/or coordinate work activities of other team members.

Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Required Qualifications

12+ years of experience in compensation.

Prior experience in consultative roles in the mid‑size to large technology corporation (over 500 associates) is preferred.

Experience leading compensation programs and conducting high‑level presentations required.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred.

A consultative approach with our business partners is preferred.

Ability to deal with ambiguity in a quickly evolving, high energy business.

Knowledge and experience with state and federal labor laws and regulations as it relates to compensation.

Must be accurate and have intense attention to detail and quality. Accounting‑type skills are helpful.

Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers of all levels, including executives.

Thought leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Compensation Professional certification.

Salary Base Salary: $150,000 - $250,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location and application employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
