Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Leader to lead growth efforts in military base electrification projects, primarily focusing on the U.S. Army and other service branches. The role involves driving strategic customer engagement, navigating complex federal procurement processes, and delivering tailored electrification and energy resilience solutions aligned with the Department of Defense’s mission‑readiness goals.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead business development and sales efforts for power electrification projects on U.S. military installations, with a focus on Army, Air Force, Marines, and Space Force bases.
Establish and grow strategic relationships with DoD stakeholders including the Army Corps of Engineers, Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), and energy‑focused procurement offices.
Drive complex, long‑cycle sales processes involving microgrids, renewable integration, energy storage, and base‑wide electrification strategies aligned with military resilience and decarbonization goals.
Navigate federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFAR), Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC), and Utility Energy Services Contracts (UESC) to structure and close deals.
Collaborate across GE Vernova businesses to align solutions with mission‑critical energy security requirements and sustainability mandates unique to each service branch.
Lead RFP responses and proposal development, ensuring technical and commercial alignment with Army Strategy and other branch‑specific electrification and energy resilience initiatives.
Monitor and influence evolving military electrification policy and funding programs, including those from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Department of Energy (DoE) partnerships.
Represent GE Vernova at key defense energy forums, industry conferences, and military installations, serving as a subject‑matter expert in power infrastructure and electrification for national defense applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
8+ years of sales or business development experience in the energy, infrastructure, or federal contracting sectors, with a proven track record of closing complex deals.
Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. military structure, energy procurement processes, and federal contracting vehicles (e.g., ESPC, UESC, FAR/DFAR).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with U.S. Army energy, infrastructure, or facilities commands such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), or Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI).
Familiarity with distributed energy technologies, including microgrids, energy storage, power system and power conversion infrastructure, and renewable integration.
Established network within the Department of Defense and military energy community, including prior engagement with senior military or civilian stakeholders.
Security clearance or ability to obtain one, depending on project requirements.
Must be a U.S. citizen. Relocation assistance is provided.
