Software Engineer III, Data Onboarding, NG‑SIEM (East Coast, Remote)
As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Our mission has never changed — we’re here to stop breaches, powered by an AI‑native platform that processes almost 3 trillion events per day. We’re looking for an Engineer III to join the GDI Data Onboarding Team under NG‑SIEM to build frictionless onboarding for third‑party data sources.
About the Role We are seeking an Engineer III to be part of the GDI Data Onboarding Team under NG‑SIEM with a focus on third‑party data onboarding. The team focuses on the data onboarding experience for NG‑SIEM customers, monitoring, alerting and parser management.
You will lead key product initiatives, collaborating across data platforms and product teams, and drive a frictionless onboarding experience across hundreds of data sources, leveraging AI to build autonomous agents that facilitate seamless data onboarding.
This role is open to candidates based in EST time zone.
What You’ll Do
Enable data onboarding so customers can ingest petabyte‑scale data at millions of events per second with sub‑second latencies.
Work as part of a cross‑functional team including UI, UX and Data Scientists.
Solve hard problems in distributed systems—high availability, reliability, performance and cost optimizations.
Develop systems in Go and Scala.
Support globally available, multi‑region systems in production.
Lead and participate in cross‑team platform‑level initiatives and projects.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining multiple software products/systems/releases, preferably in a SaaS delivery model.
Fluency in at least one programming language.
Experience in large‑scale distributed system architecture, high scalability and availability.
Can‑do attitude, strong ownership, and experience operating services that span multiple geographical regions.
Product focus mindset and strong communication skills.
Experience with streaming systems (e.g., Apache Kafka), transactional databases, Docker and Kubernetes.
Bonus Points
Preferred experience with Go or Scala.
Interest in driving Agentic‑AI projects.
Experience with commercial clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Prior experience in cybersecurity.
Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike
Remote‑friendly, flexible work culture.
Market‑leading compensation and equity awards.
Comprehensive wellness programs.
Competitive vacation and holidays.
Paid parental and adoption leave.
Professional development opportunities.
Employee networks and volunteer opportunities.
Great Place to Work Certified™ globally.
Compensation Base salary range for this position for U.S. candidates is $120,000 – $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.
