Primary Purpose In this role you will deliver innovative products and services at a rapid pace, enabling our development teams to serve our customers seamlessly across physical, digital and cloud platforms. You will be engineering a platform that provides services and frameworks to developers as a secure, scalable and highly available platform by using a variety of technologies such as AWS, Windows, Linux, SaltStack, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Docker, Octopus. Own, automate and troubleshoot the Production Releases for a complex set of Biocomputing solutions.

Essential Functions
Implement Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps to transform legacy environments, leveraging industry best practices as a team player.
Research, test, and pilot a new metrics collection system that can be reused for any application stack.
Define, select, implement and support a new configuration management system for a simplified orchestration workflow focused on applications, phasing out legacy systems.
Work closely with development staff and train them on proprietary information and keep data safe across the enterprise.
Prototype reusable patterns and tools then coach developers on following these best practices.
Deconstruct an old file store with a defined solution without impacting the customer base.
Anticipate or see issues before they impact infrastructure or customers.
Provide build and deployment support to multiple projects.
Work with Configuration Management team to align organization and industry compliance best practices.
Assist development teams in implementing versioning and archiving of software artifacts and validation documentation in AWS/S3/Glacier.
Develop automation of manual activities in accordance with DevOps principles.
Advanced expertise with Shell Scripting.
Define and implement industry standard practices around cloud platform security.
Define, implement and support required certificates.
Advanced knowledge of Windows / Linux systems administration.
Setup/Configuration/Administration of tools like GIT and Splunk.
Systems administration skills in Linux and Windows.
Setup/Configuration/Administration of Binary Repositories.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible.
Experience with scripting in multiple languages.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical And Other Requirements
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: Occasional movement between work sites and interior office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment requiring use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: Conduct work in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field.
Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
Five (5) years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or relevant technical role.
Articulate ability to explain ideas/concepts outside developer wheelhouse simply and effectively.
Five (5) years of experience working with technologies or databases similar to the following: SaltStack and/or Ansible, MS SQL and/or SQL Databases, RabbitMQ and/or SNS/SQS, Splunk and/or DataDog.
Demonstrated work experience managing complex infrastructure projects with minimal supervision.
Works well with groups inside and outside the defined team.
