Description Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a large‑scale multi‑tenant Kubernetes on‑prem cluster which serves as the foundation for mission‑critical applications across multiple tenants.
In this role, the Software Integration Engineer will collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to implement automation, enforce best practices, and support integration of new services within the Kubernetes cluster, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes‑based infrastructure.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph; all candidates must be a U.S. citizen.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment; alternatively, five (5) years full‑time related experience and additional experience requirements per degree. Professional certification may substitute for experience.
Required Skills:
Experience with Linux CLI
Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads, networking, ingress, storage, and performance
Experience with Docker containerization
Administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters
Infrastructure as Code using Helm and Ansible
System monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
Git source‑code management
Desired Skills:
Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
CI/CD pipelines design/implementation
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
This position is open for direct hires only. We will not consider candidates from third‑party staffing/recruiting firms.
Benefits
Annual Salary: $130,000 – $270,000 (depends on experience)
Up to 20% 401(k) contribution (no matching required; vested from Day 1)
Above‑market hourly rates
$3,400 HSA contribution
5 weeks paid time off
