Qualifications

Master’s or PhD degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field with a track record of academic excellence.

2+ years of experience performing analytic work in Financial Services or related industries.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem‑solving skills.

Advanced programming skills; mastery of a statistical language such as R or Python; experience with SQL, Hive, C/C++, Java, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Versatile interpersonal and communication style with ability to communicate at multiple levels and work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.

Understanding of current industry challenges and trends to proactively identify customers’ analytical needs and related business opportunities.

Ability to travel 10‑20%.

Responsibilities

Partner with internal and external cross‑functional teams to drive new business initiatives and deliver long‑term value‑added product propositions for customers in the US financial services segment.

Lead analytic client engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis through the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle, leveraging techniques such as segmentation, logistic regression, gradient‑boosted trees, survival analysis, PCA, scenario and sensitivity analysis.

Design and write programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis on large population datasets using R, Python, and SQL.

Deliver analytic insights and recommendations through succinct and compelling presentations for internal and external customers, including executive audiences.

Develop project proposals, sales presentations, and promotional collateral to enable adoption of integrated customer solutions.

Identify strategies and opportunities for customers to test and adopt TransUnion’s analytic products and services.

Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues and maintain progress on all initiatives under limited direct supervision.

Foster a high‑performance culture and cultivate an environment that promotes excellence and reflects the TransUnion brand.

Compensation The U.S. base salary range for this position is $67,500.00 – $112,500 annually. Additional variable compensation may include an annual bonus plan and long‑term incentives.

Employment and Work Location This hybrid position requires regular virtual performance of job responsibilities and in‑person attendance at an assigned TU office for a minimum of two days per week.
