Overview
Senior Ab Initio Developer - Hybrid (Jacksonville, FL). This is a contract position running through May 2025 with strong potential to extend longer or convert to FTE. Hybrid role in Jacksonville, FL working eastern time zone business hours.
Responsibilities
Develop, program, and code IT solutions using Ab Initio.
Document detailed system specifications and participate in unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications.
Evaluate and perform performance testing of purchased products.
Incorporate IT controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.
Contribute to moderately complex development projects and apply data quality processes and data governance to ensure data is fit for consumption.
Qualifications
Related Bachelor’s degree or related work experience.
5+ years of related work experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry.
Direct hands-on experience with Ab Initio, SQL, Unix scripting.
Experience collaborating with vendors and business partners for solution delivery.
Experience with ETL development tools (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, Talend, Datastage, SSIS).
Experience with testing methodologies and major development language(s)/technology.
Experience with relational databases; NoSQL experience is a plus.
Experience with Linux operating system; RHEL preferred.
Knowledge of messaging engines; experience with RESTful services and JSON preferred.
Cloud experience preferred.
Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with stakeholders and vendors.
Ability to manage and/or participate in projects to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business issues into innovative solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; self-directed, organized, and adaptable with multitasking ability.
Familiarity with current and emerging technologies and willingness to explore new technologies to meet business needs.
Preferred Skills
Development experience using PySpark and Stored Procedures.
