Job Description Director - Construction Location: Denton/Dallas Fort Worth, Texas | Type: Full‑time

Role Overview The Director is responsible for project management and leadership for the Southeast market and other T5 markets. This includes, but is not limited to, site management and leadership for individual buildings and full projects, coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are strictly followed, and that work proceeds on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

Support general leadership of the Southeast market.

Lead data center campus teams.

Provide hands‑on management support for individual projects.

Manage overall budgets and corresponding subcontractor/vendor/consultant budgets.

Manage overall schedules.

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Identify subcontractor non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.

Maintain daily written log of activities on the job site.

May perform Field Superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously.

Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.

Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

Issue notices of non‑compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.

Ensure the job site is always kept clean and organized.

Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

Complete other duties consistent with your role as assigned by T5 management.

Qualifications Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required).

3+ years of construction experience (required).

1+ year of data center experience (preferred).

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Project.

Experience with Yardi, Procor, and Prolog (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

Experience with Division 2‑10 (concrete through finish trade).

Provide direction and resolve problems among subcontractors and vendors.

Identify deficient work and provide resolution.

Blueprint reading.

Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.

Monitoring jobsite general health and safety.

Customer service – manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly; solicit feedback; meet commitments.

Interpersonal skills – focus on solving conflict.

Teamwork – balance team and individual responsibilities; give and welcome feedback; build a positive team spirit; support everyone's efforts.

Planning/organizing – prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; develop realistic action plans.

Quality – demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback.

Quantity – meet productivity standards; complete work in a timely manner; strive to increase productivity; work quickly.

Adaptability – adapt to changes; manage competing demands; handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Ability to lift equipment in small spaces without mechanical assistance, weighing up to 100 pounds.
