We’re looking to expand our team across the board.

York Space Systems has an opening for a full‑time Director to lead our recruiting team. The successful candidate will develop and implement recruiting strategies, manage the candidate experience and associated branding, oversee the recruiting team, and partner with senior leadership to align hiring with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute the overall talent acquisition strategy to timely attract and retain high performing talent.

Oversee the recruitment life cycle, from sourcing and interviewing to offer management.

Partner with senior leadership, department leads, hiring managers and other stakeholders to understand workforce needs, inclusive of timing and skills, and ensure achievement of short‑ and long‑term recruitment goals.

Ensure productive and positive candidate experience throughout application and interview process.

Develop and manage company branding as relates to recruiting to attract top talent and position York as a preferred employer.

Conduct market research regarding industry and general market trends to ensure York’s recruiting efforts remain competitive and effective.

Assemble and assess internal data and identify areas for improvement. Develop solutions to optimize the hiring process.

Partner with York compliance and employment counsel and ensure that all hiring activities comply with law.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience, inclusive of acquisition leadership.

The ability to develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that meet both short‑ and long‑term company needs and goals in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Proven skills leading and motivating a recruitment team, managing budgets, and timely overseeing recruitment plan and related goals achievement.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for collaborating with senior leaders, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and effectively representing the York brand throughout the recruitment life cycle.

Ability to assemble, analyze and create actionable plans from market and internal data so as to optimize York’s recruitment environment and success acquiring top talent.

Familiarity and ability with applicant tracking systems, such as Dayforce.

Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in a fast‑paced, high‑growth organizational setting.

Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and maintain composure in stressful situations.

Willingness and ability to perform routine tasks as well as to manage more involved or sophisticated projects.

Experience in next generation space or aerospace industry is an advantage, while ability to recruit engineers or other technical talent is a must.
