As a Senior Project/Client Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects while managing client relationships and supporting business growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. You’ll be responsible for the technical execution, financial performance, and overall delivery of projects from concept through construction. Essential Functions
Lead project delivery for water and wastewater treatment, advanced water treatment, conveyance, and pumping facilities from planning through construction. Coordinate work activities of various technical staff and consultants, lead progress meetings, prepare meeting agendas and minutes, and track project schedules and budgets. Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts using Tetra Tech’s project management tools. Plan, evaluate, and select design alternatives in coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Oversee and review engineering analyses, design calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Coordinate work activities and communicate with municipalities and governmental regulating agencies. Oversee construction contract management and observation services. Prepare reports and permit applications regarding water/wastewater. Supervise and mentor entry-level engineers. Collaborate with regional and local leadership to identify and develop business opportunities (including supporting other Tetra Tech business units), prepare proposals, secure new work, and recruit staff. Required Qualifications
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (other disciplines may be considered) 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater discipline as a W/WW Engineer and/or Project Manager, designing municipal water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution projects PE license in VA is required, or ability to obtain within 6 months Progressive experience in evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of water/wastewater facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems Demonstrated project management experience, including budget and schedule monitoring and control Experience in client relations and business development Leader and team player with strong planning and organizational skills Local client experience preferred but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to conduct effective client presentations and written reports Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree preferred. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods while performing office and field duties Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., field equipment, documents, or samples) Occasional fieldwork may require walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs or ladders, and exposure to outdoor conditions Must be able to travel to project sites, client meetings, and team events as required Work Environment / Environmental Factors
This position offers a hybrid work model with project site visits and client meetings as needed. Travel within the Mid-Atlantic region may be required Life at Tetra Tech
