Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Contract Manufacturing for FMB, this role manages the strategic and tactical planning of materials, production at contract manufacturers, and finished‑goods fulfillment to successfully deliver industry‑leading quality, customer service, and cost to our customers. The position independently manages numerous complex projects supporting multiple areas of the business.
Role Responsibilities FMB Supply Chain Management (Mainstream)
Manage S&OP, supply planning, production planning, and fulfillment tasks for the FMB business to lead and support the RTD network and cost optimization through accurate demand forecasting, inventory reduction, and meeting budgeted growth, service, inventory, and sales targets.
Plan material requirements for scheduled production to ensure seamless execution.
Execute case finished‑goods delivery to fulfill purchase orders gathered by the customer service team.
Coordinate the transition of tasks to relevant SGS functions/teams.
Identify and communicate risks related to materials, production, and inventory.
Maintain up‑to‑date master data in collaboration with the Master Data team.
Standardize and document processes to become an expert in the system.
Support the PLM process from innovation to discontinuation.
Contract Manufacturer Management (Sub: as requested)
Liaise between contract manufacturers and functional groups within Suntory Global Spirits, including S&OP, R&D, Finance, Quality, Transportation & Warehousing, Procurement, and Brand.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contract manufacturers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Lead manufacturing projects from concept to commercialization, providing on‑site production support for product launches and innovation.
Implement and report on KPIs for quality, customer service, and cost internally, and conduct regular reviews with co‑manufacturing partners.
Analyze production data and metrics to identify improvement areas and implement best practices.
Address production issues promptly and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
Partner with SGS Finance to ensure pricing accuracy and currency updates.
Qualifications
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or Mathematics.
1–5 years of experience in Contract Manufacturing (Beverage Alcohol experience is an asset).
Limited travel (20%) with occasional corporate head office visits.
Basic understanding of transportation modes (Ocean, Intermodal, Airfreight) and logistics challenges is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, is $110,000–$120,000, along with an annual bonus, 401(k) match, profit sharing, and comprehensive medical and wellness benefits.
