Enrollment - Product Owner
Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is seeking a Product Owner to serve on an enrollment domain team in Louisville, KY.
Base pay range $44.00/hr - $46.00/hr (paid weekly on W2)
Position Summary You will serve as a Product Owner within our Agile/SAFe environment, focusing on backlog management, workflow design, and stakeholder alignment. The role is critical to ensuring continuity in our enrollment domain and supporting the scaling of our Appian program.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Own and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business needs.
Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and testers to drive delivery.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning.
Ensure traceability from business requirements through to test cases and demos.
Support UAT and formally accept stories once criteria are met.
Monitor product performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions.
Investigate facts and develop solutions to problems during design and planning phases.
Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
Possibly conduct feasibility studies, field trials, identify product gaps, define product requirements, and engage with customers to understand market needs and trends.
Make decisions regarding own work methods in ambiguous situations with minimal direction.
Requirements
3+ years of technical experience.
5+ years of leadership and/or project management experience.
A passion for contributing to continuous improvement of consumer experiences.
Proven Product Owner experience in Agile/SAFe environments.
Hands‑on Appian expertise (workflow design, backlog management, UAT).
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in large, complex, and regulated environments—ideally healthcare or enrollment workflows.
