Security Architect – Remote
Kforce has a client that is hiring a remote Security Architect to join their team.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement security controls for Snowflake and related cloud data platforms, ensuring alignment with retail and supply chain compliance requirements (e.g., PCI‑DSS, SOX)
Lead security assessments and threat modeling for data flows across inventory, logistics, merchandising, and customer engagement systems
Define and enforce role‑based access controls (RBAC), data encryption, and secure data sharing practices within Snowflake
Partner with data engineering, analytics, and IT teams to embed security into data pipelines and integrations with ERP, POS, and warehouse management systems
Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and resolution across data environments
Develop and maintain documentation for security architecture, policies, and procedures tailored to retail/supply chain operations
Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies, continuously improving our security posture
Requirements
Extensive experience in enterprise security architecture, ideally within retail, e‑commerce, or supply chain environments
Hands‑on experience with Snowflake security features including RBAC, network policies, masking, and auditing
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
Familiarity with data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and retail‑specific compliance standards
Experience with IAM, secrets management, and security automation tools
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Pay The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
Benefits We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
